Thorpe Garage is a service and repair garage independently run by Colin Hedger who has been a car fanatic since childhood and in the motor trade since 1976, teaching Motor Vehicle Maintenance under Langley College in the early eighties.
Colin started in business in Old Windsor in 1984 and quickly decided that rather than expand rapidly and lose control over standards, he would keep it small and retain the quality of work and personal control that most car owners would prefer.
In 2001 Colin moved to new premises in Staines, conveniently located near the town with its shops and supermarkets, within walking distance of the train station.
Thorpe Garage is a conscientious (old fashioned?) garage with a reputation for quality and reliability. Colin takes a personal pride in everything he does and whilst it may be true that sometimes we may take a little longer, our low labour rate ensures that we always remain competitive – currently (08/22) just £54 per hour (+VAT). Our motto has always been do it once, do it right!
